The educational, spiritual and recreational components of the Resident Services Program rely heavily on the involvement of community volunteers. New Hope Housing is committed to offering opportunities that are beneficial to residents and are engaging and enjoyable for volunteers. New Hope Housing partners with area financial institutions; the government sector; health care, legal and education entities; and community and church groups to provide life skills training and personal growth workshops. We build lifelong partnerships with our individual and corporate partners to build a strong community and create lasting change.

The Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation (TSAHC) has been a longstanding supporter of New Hope Housing. Since 2010, the TSAHC Texas Foundations Fund (TFF) has donated more than $200,000 to support New Hope’s Resident Services Program, specifically to help serve our residents with disabilities and who earn less than $25,000 per year. Most recently, the TFF contributed a two-year grant of $29,383 to enable our Resident Services staff to continue working alongside our residents. Our staff are a pillar in our residents’ journey to housing stability.

TSAHC and New Hope have a wonderful synergy because we both believe that every Texan deserves the opportunity to live in safe, decent and affordable housing. Following TSAHC’s model of Build, Buy, Stay, their support of New Hope’s Resident Services Program helps residents stay stably housed by providing them with caring and well-trained staff to help them work toward personal life goals and to manage any difficulties that may arise.
