Just south of downtown Houston where Brays Bayou meets the Gulf Freeway, art and practicality come together to create new homes and new hope for 149 new residents. With the opening of Brays Crossing, New Hope Housing continues its pioneering tradition of building affordable single room occupancy (SRO) housing. Brays Crossing is the latest result of an award-winning formula to create attractive and affordable living environments while incorporating art and design sensibilities. Since 1995, New Hope Housing has offered quality, supportive housing to more than 6,200 people including veterans, the elderly, students, those with minor disabilities, individuals overcoming substance abuse, the working poor, and the formerly homeless.
